Key Questions for 2024 Review

29 Nov 2024

At this time of year may of us take to doing a review.  This year end, my personal focus is going to be pretty different.  I’m choosing to look at things from a Mindful view, so I am focused on Feelings rather than Achievements.  If you find the usual NY resolutions a waste of time, perhaps it is time to look at it all a bit differently.

Here is my take on all this.

Rather than look at what I have achieved, or mentally ticked, I am thinking more about my Mind, Body and Spirit experience this year.

Mind

  • What have I focussed my attention on this year that has been new, joyful, or expanding?
  • Have I had any a-ha moments when I have felt things become clearer or I have felt my purpose more clearly?
  • Did I take time to be Mindful of myself and others I work with or hold dear?
  • Do I bring my best self to each moment?
  • Was I consciously ‘in the moment’ and ‘present’ more often than not?
  • What could I do to shift the needs on any of these things?
  • Have I been conscious of my thoughts?
  • To what level have I been able to manage my thoughts and still my mind when stressed?
  • Have I sought out calm when I have felt overwhelmed?
  • What benefits have been the ripples of my ‘doing Nothing’?
  • What has been my balance of Doing V Being?
  • How comfortable am I with sitting in the quiet ad silence?
  • What Mindful practices have I found give me the greatest sense of calm and ease to help me turn down the noise?
  • Have I noticed my self-talk becoming more positive?

Body

  • Have there been times when I have felt by body in a state of dis-ease?
  • Have I practised doing a Check-In to note where I hold aches and pains?
  • Have I been careful to practice a good level of self-care to show how I value myself?
  • What changes has this helped me to notice this year?
  • What about exercise?
  • Have I been mindful to nourish myself with life enhancing food and drink?
  • Can I answer truthfully that I have taken care of myself where and when it matters?

Spirit

  • How have I connected with my Higher Self this year?
  • Have I let my Intuition guide me?
  • What about noticing what my gut instincts are trying to tell me?
  • What practices have I found helpful to tune into my higher consciousness?
  • When have I felt my heart sing?
  • What gives me joy and helps my connection to The Universe?
  • How could I develop my personal level of Spiritual Awareness?

Consider your level of personal growth in these areas and rate yourself as you choose. You may like to use a 1-10 number slide for this. Your personal reflection should inform you which areas to give more attention to in 2025.

This is for your eyes only – to help you become the person you aspire to be in the coming year!
