Becoming a more effective exams officer
The NAEO Summer Conference 2024 was held at Leeds United Football Club, Elland Road Stadium, Leeds on Friday 28 June.
The key aim of 2024 Summer Conference was to support delegates in 'Becoming a more effective exams officer', with workshops and presentations focusing upon:
- The key skills required to be an effective exams officer
- Exams administration and management good practice
- Personal and professional development
- Wellbeing and mindfulness
The conference was attended by the major awarding bodies. Due to the timing of the General Election, the Department for Education and Ofqual colleagues were unable to attend.
The conference also served as an opportunity for exams officers to support their professional development, and gain/develop some of the key skills required to undertake the exams officer role effectively and efficiently. The content is been designed to support exams officers in achieving the Exams Officer Professional Standards.
Delegates had a choice from two workshops during each session.
The conference is also an opportunity to present the Exams Officer of the Year award:
